Supporting Kids Action Through Science Update
For this year, we have supported the Kids Action Through Science Programme co-ordinated by Newcastle University. This introduces primary school children to the world of science education with a particular focus on the science of the changing climate.
Annual Golf day success
2025 was the 11th year of the Fiona Foundation golf day at Chorlton Golf Club.
The Fiona Foundation Garden
One of our initial projects was to establish a garden of reflection at St Johns Parish Church in Chorlton.
St John’s Primary School Exchange continues
The school enjoyed another successful and hugely popular exchange visit with year 5 and 6 children in Nigran, Galicia. Once again the Foundation supported this by providing the participating students with their exchange T shirts.
Fiona Foundation prize at Newcastle University awarded.
We are pleased to announce the recipient of the Fiona Foundation Prize at Newcastle University is Kudzaishe Chiwara, studying Chemical Engineering.
The Fiona Karran prize winner at Trinity Hall announced for 2024.
The winner of the Fiona Karran prize for women in STEM subjects at Trinity Hall, Cambridge was this year awarded to Priscilla Tang studying natural sciences.
