2025 was the 11th year of the Fiona Foundation golf day at Chorlton Golf Club.
Once again it was a hugely enjoyable day. It was also the best attended event we have had to date; it is wonderful to see new people joining us and leaning about Fiona and the Foundation’s work. This year saw a significant rise in the number of women golfers playing.
The fund raising was again a great success as we raised around £2000. This primarily funds out projects with Newcastle University and the golf day is our primary annual fund raiser.
Success this year was well earned by the team entered by Mike Bullen. Mike, feeling the pressure, decided he had to be on holiday, but his captain on the day Paul Cunniff marshalled a superb team performance. Victory was secured at an 18th hole team play off.
Congratulations to Paul on lifting the Jack Evans Trophy for the first time.
