The winner of the Fiona Karran prize for women in STEM subjects at Trinity Hall, Cambridge was this year awarded to Priscilla Tang studying natural sciences.

St Johns Primary School exchange continues
Once again the school has enjoyed a very successful exchange programme with year 5 and 6 children in Nigran, Galicia.
Supporting Kids Action Through Science.
For the second year we have supported the Kids Action Through Science programme coordinated by Newcastle University.

Special Virtuosi
We have completed our first year sponsoring the Special Virtuosi orchestra’s three annual concerts at the RNCM. It has been a hugely successful partnership and it has been wonderful to see the Special Virtuosi performances.
Newcastle Scholarships
This academic year 2014-5 has seen the Foundation provide two more scholarships to female students at the Chemical Engineering faculty of Newcastle University. Several of the friends of Fiona have talked for some time of a wish to walk at least part of El Camino across Northern Spain.
